Workouts and Attendance

Please refer to the practice schedule in this booklet for your swimmer’s individual training / workout schedule. Each group’s training schedule includes the number of possible workouts. To achieve 100% attendance, Junior swimmers must attend a minimum of 2 of 3 possible workouts. Intermediates must attend 3 out of 4 possible workouts. Seniors (12 and under) must attend 5 of 8 possible workouts, and seniors (13 and over) must attend 7 of 8 possible workouts. A calendar is published and updated weekly with each electronic Dragon Bytes. Occasionally practices will be changed or canceled for various reasons. Information that is time sensitive such as inclement weather, or facility closure will be emailed to those who have provided an email address in the form of a Dragon Special. The Saturday and Monday practices of holiday weekends are usually non swim days. Practices begin promptly at the scheduled time so please ensure your swimmer is on deck 5 minutes before the workout begins. Seniors should be on deck at least 15 minutes prior to workout to ensure stretching and dry land exercises are completed. Should your swimmer be unable to attend workouts for longer than a week, please notify your swimmer’s coach.
