Our 2026 Championship Season

Nine Water Dragons swam championship meets this season. Regionals short course in Kingston in January, the Ontario Age Group Championships in Unionville in March, regionals long course in Ottawa in May, the Ontario Swim Championships in Toronto in July, and the Bell Canadian Trials in Montreal.

Across the two regional championships our swimmers recorded personal bests in 48 of 66 races. Seventy-nine percent of swims in January, sixty-nine percent in May. Those are the meets the whole championship squad swims, so that figure is everyone who went and not the fast end of it. It holds from a ten year old at his first regionals through to a swimmer racing at national trials.

All of it came out of four sessions a week in one pool.
